Buying Stamina InMotion II Manual Treadmill

First, when this is in box it is very, very heavy and bulky have help if possible moving it around, lucky I had a dolly.
Now, get out all nuts, bolts washers etc. etc. and match what you got with the parts list, I was fortunate it was complete. Matching the bolts with a different type would be hard. Get out your box end wrench set, borrow a friends or use a good crescent wrench, use a 3/4 inch & 11/16 inch box for the large bolts, the tool provided is a joke for assembling the item but OK later to check for tightness. Provided Allen wrenches work well. Assemble per instructions they are precise. Adjusting the belt takes some getting use to so work slowly it will finally be running in the middle, patience with this is a must!!!
I have lower back problems and walk 4.6 miles per day, nearly 61 years old and missed 32 days last year and wanted something to use when the weather does not permit walking, this fits the bill. CAUTION, you are going to be using muscles that you do not use when just walking. It's very much like loading a U-Hall truck walking up the plank, the next day you'll really feel the new muscels being used, don't think this is tit for tat like walking, start a little at a time and build up your strength and muscels or you will burn yourself out quickly.
I also put 2 like bricks surrounded with foam rubber under the back end to level it out even more, when starting out grab the handles firmly and hold on b/c until you get use to the thing you can fall pretty easily. Support yourself when getting on to start walking & slowly getting off to make adjustments. The belt adjustments are tricky at first just take your time. Wear good walking shoes so as to have a good grip to the belt. I know exactly how long the 4.6 miles take so I have not even used the electronic distant device, my legs tell me, walking 4.6 miles takes me exactly 1hr 20 min so far I'm up to 20 min on the treadmill, it's work!! Why did I buy it? The pavement doesn't move for me and I didn't want all the bells and whistles with an electric treadmill, just a lot more things to go wrong and a good one costs 2k+!!! Most people want devices to work for them, the pavement works against you when you walk so I wanted something that would make me work not the other way around. Oh, buy the silicone belt spray you'll need it very soon.
If this treadmill wears out in a year I can just about buy 7 years of these for 1 top electric treadmill and get a lot better workout.
Happy walking and take your time getting use to it!!!!!

Cheap Stamina InMotion II Manual Treadmill

I was told by my doctor to get a manual treadmill. This one was the best I could fine, as the tread is wide enough for my gait. I amble more than walk due to a broken leg that didn't quite heal right. It is sturdy and takes my weight (225lbs) well. I had a problem lining up the handlebar holes for fastening, but I overcame it. All in all, it is as advertised. Sturdy, relatively quiet, and gives an excellent workout.

Cheap Merit Fitness 725T Treadmill

To assemble this product, I recommend using a different tool from the one they supply to screw in the bolts. Theirs DOES NOT WORK. I cannot emphasize this enough. Once I realized this, it was a breeze to assemble and the treadmill works great!! It's easy to operate, sturdy, has lots of functions and settings. I like that it has a secure place to hold a drink and other things such as an IPod. It's fairly quiet too. I belonged to a gym and recently quit. I would compare the quality of this treadmill to any commercial gym quality treadmill for sure. Buy Buy Merit Fitness 725T Treadmill Lowest Price, Order Now! [Click Here!]

Stamina InMotion II Manual Treadmill

Inexpensive and I get a great workout. This unit has a good wide track and it is long enough for an average stride. The belt centering mechanism works great. Having used a motor driven treadmill in the past - I was worried about the manual function but I now feel I can get a better workout on the manual without having to run to get there.Buy Buy Stamina InMotion II Manual Treadmill Lowest Price, Order Now! Delivered on time, easy to put together. So far, it seems like a solid piece of equipment. I think it`s a good deal for the money, but only time will tell. I read other reviews about this product that said they had problems with the control panel bolts not fitting correctly. I had the same problem with 2 of the 4 bolts, but I got them tight enough. I called Merit`s customer service, and they have called me back, but we have not been able to connect yet.Buy Buy Merit Fitness 725T Treadmill Lowest Price, Order Now! [Click Here!]

Phoenix 98516 Easy-Up Manual Treadmill

I was hesitant to purchase this item based on the previous comments made. I only look at the 3 or lower stars, then you know what to expect in the worst case. I also read a few other products to gauge what issues plague manual treadmills. So far, I haven't seen many of these issues.
A little background, I'm 5'8" and 218 lbs and out of shape. I'm used to walking on flat surfaces with a little bit of a slope. I bought the treadmill to get in shape for hiking in the mountains. I've had the treadmill for 6 days and have averaged about 30 minutes (accumulated) a day.
Based on other reviews, I decided to get the treadmill lubricant. I'm glad I did. The belt was jerky and definately needed lubricant. The manual says to use a silicone lubricant or WD-40, so you may want to save your money there. It took a bit of work to get the belt to get rid of the stick. You need to lift up the sides of the belt and spray underneath. Once it was slick enough, everything went pretty smoothly.
After getting everything set up and running, I took it for a test drive. First, the slope is pretty steep for a first time user, such as myself. The slope is 6" from back to front. I can do a normal 16 minute outside mile without breaking much of a sweat. I do a 30 minute mile according to the computer (which I haven't tested, but I believe it to be wrong).
I'll have to say that I can't see how someone can jog on this machine. When I bring my back foot up, I usually get a burst of speed. This makes me think that I'd likely fall face first onto the treadmill. I've only used a treadmill once before (powered), but I don't get the same security on this machine.
There are two major complaints that I have. First, the handles are too low. I usually walk in the 1/4 to 3/4 zone of the treadmill. I have my arms extended downward and don't have a very good grip on the handles. There should be some kind of handle that comes upward to properly hold onto. Kind of like the "bike horn handles" you can attach to a bicycle ([...]). I don't know if something like this would work, but it's better than the current setup.
I don't particularly like the computer that comes with it. The computer does have Miles/Kilometers, Calories, Distance, M/Km per hour and a timer (I like that the timer stops a few seconds after you do). However, like I said before, I don't know if it is right. Also, the timer only goes to 99:59.
I've seen where the reports of the tread rolling off to the side come in. I use the treadmill barefoot, so this may be a factor. Also, weight may be a factor (recomended weight is less than 250 lbs). When I do notice the rolling effect, it's usually when I'm tired and I'm favoring one side (leaning, checking the computer, holding on with one hand for a long time, etc). As a result, my feet tend to go over the center and are pushing at an angle. This is where I see the rolling issue. However, correcting the issue is to just straighten up and push in the other direction while moving. The front roller is slightly threaded in different directions on both sides to help compensate for this. However, I've never seen an issue when walking over the center.
Pros:
Compact footprint. I like the fact that I can fold it up and put it in an unused closet.
Easy setup. Only 9 screws and the "tools" come with. The computer mount is less than desireable.
Consistent after lubricating.
Cons:
Handlebars could be better.
Unverified belief the computer is wrong.
Overally, pretty good for a starter. If you're planning on something more serious, this may not be for you. If you plan to use it during the cold winters and rainy days while walking outside on the nice days, I believe this to be about right.Buy Buy Phoenix 98516 Easy Up Manual Treadmill Lowest Price, Order Now! Buying Sole F85 Treadmill

Runs great as advertised. Price was in the range of what you would expect for a good home treadmill for running. I was a little worried about having a 380 Lb. packaged delivered to my door, but it worked out just fine. Had the box placed in my living room, cut it open, read the assembly directions, assembled and rolled it to its home location, without assistance....and it did start to run when the key was inserted. No special tools are required to assemble. Have a broom handy to sweep up the belt dust and start off slowly, because it's not like running outdoors.Buy Buy Sole F85 Treadmill Lowest Price, Order Now! [Click Here!]

Buying Merit Fitness 725T Treadmill

Installation was easy but the nut and bolts supplied with this doesn't fit peoperly into their slots leaving the machine little weak. For 400 bucks its a very nice treadmill useful in places like small apartment spaces. I contacted customer service and they asked me to send pictures of fault in this machine which I am going to do. I will update this review on how they handled this. It has lot of variety of workouts but do not buy it if you are over 225 pounds. 200 pounds is the max range for this treadmill.Buy Buy Merit Fitness 725T Treadmill Lowest Price, Order Now!
